Our amazing judging panel not only includes successful drag performers but also comedians and musicians so we can support our contestants as much as possible

With previous winners including Son Ofa Tutu, Baga Chipz, Danny Beard, Tanya Hyde & Fatt Butcher and iconic venues such as Two Brewers & Addy Duncy leading the way this competition really is a great way for growing acts to perfect their performance, gain social media following and build audience rapport.
Hosted by the delicious Victoria Sponge (aka Paul Stone award winning writer, producer and director) we know we will be in good hands for the season
Heat 1 - Tues 18th April
Heat 2 - Bank Hol Mon 1st May
Heat 3 - Tues 16th May
Final - Bank Hol Mon 29th May

Thank you very much for your interest in representing The Northcote Drag Idol 2023.
With our determination to be inclusive and our strict positive judging policy we think we have something special to add to the mix
Applications will open after the 23rd February 2023. You can enter as an individual or as a group. You must be available on 29th May for our heat final as well as the national semi-final and final dates should your application progress.
There are only a limited number of places here so please only apply if you are a serious about applying otherwise you may well block another performer from entering the competition.
We strive to be more diverse so very much welcome applications from differing backgrounds and differing abilities.
